Separate Stacked Ferrous Sheets with Permanent Magnetic Power

Inside their rugged, stainless steel housings, Bunting® Sheet Fanners use high-energy permanent magnets to separate stacks by inducing like polarities in adjacent sheets, causing magnetic repulsion between them. This repulsion fans the sheets apart. When the top sheet is removed, the next sheet rises to take its place. The distance between the top two sheets will average between 1/2” to 1”, depending on the magnetic strength of the Fanner and the size of the sheets. Fanners can be ganged to handle especially large or heavy-gauge sheets.

Generation I Switchable Patented Neo Magnetic Fanners –

Bunting® Magnetics Co. patented Generation I pneumatically switchable neo rare earth Sheet Fanners which are designed for the high production automation lines for fanning sheets on robotic lines as seen above. These compact 4” face Sheet Fanners can be hard mounted or mounted on slides to slide in against the side of a stack of sheets. The advantage of these Fanners is that they are switchable and can be turned on or off to place a new stack of sheets in position or to remove a stack of sheets – where the face of the magnet is completely dead. These neo Fanners can be used on sheets up to 11 gage steel. The number of fanners will depend on the dimensional size of the sheets – the more fanners used, the more fanning gap in the sheets will be seen.

Generation II Switchable Patented Neo Magnetic Fanners –

Bunting® Magnetics Co. patented Generation II pneumatically switchable neo rare earth Sheet Fanners which are designed for the high production automation lines for fanning sheets on robotic lines as seen above for heavier sheet stock. These wider 7” face Sheet Fanners can be mounted on slides to slide in against the side of a stack of sheets as seen above. The advantage of these heavier duty Fanners is that they can be used on heavier blanks and they are switchable and can be turned off to remove a stack of sheets – where the face of the magnet is completely dead. These neo Fanners can be used on sheets up to 3/16” steel. The number of fanners will depend on the dimensional size of the sheets.

Stocked Inexpensive Permanent Magnetic Sheet Fanners –

Bunting® Magnetics Co. Stocked Sheet Fanners come with both predrilled mounting holes for permanent installation and carrying handles for moving between workstations. They are available in two standard face widths and can be stacked one above the other or mounted side-by-side to accommodate a wide range of stack and sheet sizes. These units come in standard 6”, 9” and 12” heights and can be sized for the sheet stock size and thickness from the provided selection chart. These stock Fanners come with a discounted price if ordered online.

Machine Mount Permanent Magnetic Sheet Fanners –

Bunting® Magnetics Co. Machine Mount Permanent Magnetic Sheet Fanners come complete with tapped mounting holes in their back which can be mounted directly to your framework. These fanners are very popular because of their versatility and for mounting directly into a machine or on a retractable arm. These Fanners can be ordered in either permanent magnetic ceramic or neo rare earth magnetic materials for thicker sheet stock. These Fanners are designed and built per job so they can be any size needed to fit into your application.

Pivoting Permanent Magnetic Sheet Fanners –

Bunting® Magnetics Co. Pivoting Permanent Magnetic Sheet Fanners come complete with a back support frame which can be mounted to your framework. The support frame includes a top and bottom bearing. The Fanner is mounted into the frame with its top and bottom stub shafts. These Fanners are ideal for fanning irregular shaped parts that may vary from one run to the next. The Fanners can then pivot on the bearings around the blank stack to come in contact with the irregular sheets. These Fanners can be ordered in either permanent magnetic ceramic or neo rare earth magnetic materials.

Specialty Sheet Fanners –

Portable Floating Handled Sheet Fanners are designed to be hand set directly onto a stack of sheets and the Fanners will float down the side of the stack as the sheets are taken from the top. These Fanners can be ceramic or neo rare earth – but are usually rare earth. They are very economical, easy to work with and they will be very popular with your employee – they will find so many applications for these versatile inexpensive fanners.

Retractable Pin Sheet Fanners are designed to not only fan sheets, but at the bottom of the stack, there are a pair of pins that extend to support the last couple of blanks as a new stack of blanks is feed up from the bottom into position. The pneumatic pins then retract so that the stack can then be raised up into the fanning position. This allows for continuous press operation without down time for stack replacement.
